2nd Belt and Road Friendly Basketball Tournament

Organized by People’s Communication and Consultant Company, hosted by the Silk Road Economic Development Research Center and Sportsart, sponsered by the Kowloon City District Recreation and Sports Council, and partnered with Kaishun Energy Group, Lai & Chaudhry Solicitors LLP Law Firm, Stephen Harwood Law Firm, the Hong Kong Energy and Minerals Federation and the International Federation of Sports Federations, the 2nd Belt and Road Friendly Basketball Tournament kicked off at the Hung Hom Municipal Services Building Sports Centre on May 4. Consuls and representatives from South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Angola and other countries and regions in Hong Kong and Macao attended the opening ceremony.

There are 8 teams competing in this year’s “Belt and Road” Friendly Basketball Tournament. They are Team Malaysia, Team Nepal, Team Pakistan, Team Philippines, Team Nepal, Team Mongolia, Team Africa, and Team Hong Kong.  The tournament was held for 2 days, with the group stage occuring on May 4th and 6th, and the finals and the award ceremony occuring on May 6.
